why most running shoes are bad for you

Running shoes most often alter the way your foot hits the ground.  As soon as you change your natural connection to the earth, you take away from optimal function.  The thicker the shoes, the less you feel the earth.  Another problem that most running shoes create is that they put you on a constant decline.  With an elevated heel you have to compensate your entire posture to remain upright.  Every joint has to change its position.  One example is that you end up with an increased lumbar lordosis (curve in the low back).  Posture begins in the feet.  The foot was made to contact the ground and provide feedback. In many other marketing strategies, fear is used to make people think that they need new technology to be at their best.  Don't believe the hype

baby steps

It is much easier to start small when you begin exercising.  The body needs time to adapt to anything new.  If you are starting an exercise program, go easy on yourself and increase gradually.  Give yourself time to adjust and make it enjoyable!

post workout
